Medicare can be confusing and intimidating. Choosing the right Medicare plan for you or you loved one involves research and expertise. The evaluation process to find the right plan includes gathering information about your primary care physician, specialists, prescription drugs, and current healthcare needs.. Whether you are new to Medicare, or a current beneficiary this review process is critical.
If you are new to are turning 65, have qualifying disability, retiring, or have lost your employer benefits, we can educate you on Medicare and your options. We can help you enroll in Original Medicare, and help advise you on whether a Medicare Supplement Plan, Advantage Plan or Drug Plan will help fit your needs .
If you are in need for assistance with your prescription drug costs or Medicare Part B costs with Medicare I can help guide you to resources that may help you .
I also help you each year during Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period, from October 15 to December 7 to help maximize your benefits for the upcoing year. I can also help you when you qualify for a special enrollment period due to moving, retiring, leaving a group plan, or qualifying for financial assistance with Medicare and, or, Medicaid.

Medicare is a federal health insurance plan. Eligible individuals must meet the following requirements:
1. A lawful US resident
2. Be at least 65 years old
3. If under 65 years old, you must have an eligible disability., End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), or Amyotrophic Latereal Sclerosis(ALS)
Initial Enrollment Period (IEP) occurs when you are first Eligible for Medicaare at the age of 65 or have a qualifying disability.
Special Enrollment Periods (SEP's) are available if you have a life changing event occur such as:
You may have options regarding whether or not you have to join Medicare at 65 . If you have credible group insurance through your employer, TRI CARE for Life, or a Federal Government Employee plan, you do not have to join Medicare. If you do not have credible coverage, you must join Medicare at age 65 in order to avoid a late enrollment penalty.
You may sign up for Medicare by calling the Social Security Administration ,scheduling an appointment at the Social Security Office, or apply online at ssa.gov. If you are already recieving Socail Secuirty benefits 4 months prior to turning 65 , you will automaticaly be enrolled in Medicare Part A and B.

Things to consider before enrolling Medicare if you choose to continue to work:
1. Do u currently have a credible healthcare insurance according to Medicare?
2. Do u have dependents that are currently on your health plan?
3.Based on your premium, benifits, co insurance and copay, will it be better for me to stay on your current plan or switch to Medicare?
It is important to talk to someone knowledge to help you navigate through the decision making process.
Medicare gives beneficiaries an Annua Enrollment Period (AEP) every year from October 15-December 7, where they can make changes to their current plan. There is also an Open Enrollment Period form January 1st to MArch 31st where beneficiares can make changes.
Most individuals qualify for $0 premium for Part A ( Hospital)if they have made the 40 quarter/ 10 years of working and paying taxes, If they do not qualify for $0 premium,, Part A premium willl be charged monthly. All individuals must pay a Part B premium, which is based on you income ( please all to find out details about premium calculations)..
In addition to Original Meidcare( Part A and B), beneficiaries are required to have Prescription Drug Coverage( part D) or a Medicare Advantage Plan with Drug Coverage, or a Medicare Supplement Plan with a Stand alone Part D plan. Call us so we can help expain all of you options!
